Weddell Sea 100 years after Hurley

Weddell Sea 100 years after Hurley
To the surprise of this Adélie penguin after filming some historical reconstruction on the ice in Antarctica, scientist Harry, dressed as one of ‘Shackleton’s men’ came into view. Adélie penguins are such characters, they dash about looking at everything, but I suspect their eye-sight is not good out of water as they really get up close to get the measure of what they are looking at.
This image won the Shackleton Clothing and Leica camera ‘Capturing the Extreme’ competition in 2021, made in 2019, is an instant classic.
